All prospective graduate students at UW-Stout must follow a standard application process through our Graduate School. Beyond that, each graduate program has specific requirements that must be met to be successfully admitted to the program:

Please know that the MSOSM Program Selection Committee will favor applicants who have a minimum overall undergraduate GPA of 2.75 as well as academic and workplace experience which align with the broad demands of a profession within the operations and supply management industry.
Upon completion of the MS OSM program, students will be able to:
- Recognize ethical issues, propose solutions to an ethical dilemma and use ethical reasoning to justify the solutions.
- Implement leadership skills in leading others engaged in operations and supply chain management.
- Demonstrate awareness of the current U.S. legal and global regulatory business environment.
- Apply decision-making techniques, both quantitative and qualitative analysis, to operation and supply management issues.
- Construct and communicate a logical, relevant, and professional quantitative and qualitative assessment of business information in an effective manner.

After successfully completing the Operations Management concentration, the students will be able to:
- Apply systems analysis to management decisions and operational success.
- Examine and improve the globalization effects on an organization’s operations.
- Analyze effective decision-making, problem-solving, and technical skills required in operations and management.
Additional Objectives for Quality Management Concentration:
After successfully completing the Quality Management concentration, the students will be able to:
- Apply best practices for knowledge-based business quality management decision making.
- Lead projects that implement quality management systems and a continuous improvement culture for organizations.
- Perform auditing and gap analysis to improve an organization's quality performance.
Additional Objectives for Project Management Concentration:
After successfully completing the Project Management concentration, the students will be able to:
- Manage projects and programs.
- Apply techniques for quantifying and managing the impact of change on a project.
- Serve in a management role on international project teams.
Additional Objectives for Supply Chain Management Concentration:
After successfully completing the Supply Chain Management concentration, the students will be able to:
- Apply knowledge to evaluate and manage an effective supply chain.
- Align the management of a supply chain with corporate goals and strategies.
- Analyze and improve supply chain processes.
Additional Objectives for SAP ERP Concentration:
After successfully completing the SAP ERP Concentration, the students will be able to:
- Define and explain SAP ERP concepts and be able to contrast an SAP ERP to traditional functionally oriented information systems.
- Use an SAP ERP system to manage a company.
- Perform business analytics to generate business intelligence.
- Analyze sales data using SAP ERP to support decision making in changing market conditions
Additional Objectives for Industry Occupational Safety and Hygiene Concentration:
After successfully completing the Industry Occupational Safety and Hygiene concentration, the students will be able to:
- Collect and evaluate relevant data to reduce the risk profile of an organization.
- Integrate the concepts of occupational safety analysis and responsible business practices.
- Evaluate the legal, moral and sustainability principles that are relevant to the occupational safety and health (OSH) profession.
Additional Objectives for Engineering Technology Management Concentration:
After successfully completing the Engineering Technology Management concentration, the students will be able to:
- Model, analyze and control system design and production activities.
- Demonstrate understanding of the impact of quality, cost and timeliness metrics on manufacturing performance
