A Worthwhile Investment

  • 98.4% of our students are employed or continuing education after graduation.
  • For every $1 that students invest in their education at UW-Stout, they receive $4 in additional earnings over their lifetime.
  • The average annual rate of return for a UW-Stout degree is 15.2%.

Committed to Keeping College Affordable

We realize that attending a university is no small decision. That's why we believe in making a UW-Stout degree the best value possible. Most of our undergraduate programs have been streamlined to require only 120 credits to graduate, our textbooks are rented rather than purchased, and we have dozens of scholarship opportunities to help fund your education.

New Partial Tuition Waiver for Illinois Residents

We're stepping up to provide timely financial support for new students from Illinois. Beginning Fall 2022 and guaranteed through Spring 2024, the university is offering a partial tuition waiver to Illinois residents. The amount is approximately $4,000 a year for a full-time student, based on 30 credits.

The waiver replaces the reduced out-of-state tuition rate previously provided through the Midwest Student Exchange Program. Illinois recently dropped out of the program.
